What is Reticulated Foam?
Reticulated foam is characterised by its unique pore structure, which can vary in size from 10 PPI (pores per inch) to 100 PPI. The term PPI defines the number and size of these pores within a square inch of material. Lower PPI values (10-30) indicate larger, coarser pores, allowing more fluid and air flow. Conversely, higher PPI values (80-100) have smaller, tighter pores, reducing air and liquid flow.
Manufacturing and Customisation
We stock reticulated foam in large blocks or ‘buns’, ready to be split into sheets from which gaskets can be precisely cut. Working closely with our customers, we use their drawings or samples to ensure the final product meets their exact specifications. Our manufacturing capabilities include various presses, CNC machines, and kiss-cut machines, enabling us to quickly and accurately produce gaskets in a range of sizes.
Versatile Finishes and Formats
Our reticulated foam gaskets can be supplied in plain form or with a variety of finishes, including foils, self-adhesives, or lamination to other materials. Depending on the size and quantity, gaskets can be delivered as loosely packed parts or kiss-cut on rolls for quicker and easier application.
