With a growing number of electric vehicles on the road, both private and commercial, it is imperative to keep your charging units in tip top condition.

A large number of chargers are found in outdoor settings and therefore at the mercy of the elements, so it is important to ensure safe charging and the EV battery is shielded from heat and environmental challenges. All chargers will need servicing at some point and the gaskets checked to establish they have a tight seal and haven’t degraded.

Our gaskets can be cut to any specification from a range of materials, including closed cell silicone sponge, flame retardant silicone sponge and flame retardant polyurethane foam. These materials ensure the unit is protected from temperature variations with additional flame protection in the event of an electrical fire.

Gaskets play an important role in protecting sensitive internal components from the stresses of heat and the environment. They stop moisture, dust and other debris from entering the charging station, helping to extend the chargers lifetime and performance. Ensure when replacing a gasket, you choose one that has been approved and tested to flame standard UL94 V-0 or EN 45545-2. IP67 rated gaskets ensure the best sealing performance with enhanced flame and water protection.
